Writing Playlist for YA Fantasy Authors

FH1kAfv

If I don’t have music, I can’t write or edit. It’s become part of my creative routine and it really helps when it comes to writers block or general laziness. I’ll be making playlists for different genres but I started with fantasy since it’s what I write. I think it’s important to find ways to inspire yourself to write! It’s a great way to stay motivated and on course with your work in progress. Hope you enjoy the playlist below. I’ll be adding more tracks to it so if you have Spotify please follow it to keep up to date, and if you have any specific playlist requests for your genre please let me know in the comments below!

  1. “The Widow” and “Rhiannon” are two of my favorite songs, like… ever in life. I’ll have to check out this playlist!

Actually, you’re one of the few writers I know also writers to music with lyrics. Most other writers say they can’t stand lyric music – it’s distracting. I find it to be very constructive interference. I can’t do much without music. I have some playing now, even while I’m just checking emails, you know? If I’m on the computer (and not watching videos), I’m listening to music – to include times when I’m writing.

  2. Such good songs, especially for writing anything dark or magic related. And yeah, I agree I think that’s also why I wanted to make the playlist because so many of the ones I found online are instrumental only. I get so much more done when I have a new batch of songs to listen to, and I’m the same way I am always listening to music! 🙂
